Synchronized swimming . .
. it takes your breath away!!
T-Hills
Synchro is a nonprofit athletic club that has had a close association
with the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District for over 30
years. Our club has produced many fine athletes, including US National
team members and athletes who have gone on to participate in Collegiate
programs! At times we host athletes and coaches from other clubs and
countries.
Practices
are held two to five times a week, depending upon the age and
ability of the swimmer. Our home pools are the THPRD Aquatic Center and
the Sunset Swim Center.
We
are always looking for swimmers who are eager to learn, able to follow
directions and work cooperatively in a group setting along -- if you
enjoy gymnastics, dance, music and being in the water....... this is
the sport for you!
Why Synchro?
We
believe that participation in the sport of synchronized swimming
enhances the physical, social and emotional development of our swimmers
through programs meeting needs of swimmers with varied levels of
ability and commitment. We provide a safe and secure environment where
individual swimmers can strive for personal bests. Synchronized
swimming is a team sport and we promote team spirit through the
involvement of all swimmers, coaches and parents.
Travel,
meeting athletes from across the Untied States and around the
world and making lifelong friends are all a part of the experience.
T-Hills Synchro trains approximately 10 months of the year and we
compete locally, regionally and nationally.
Synchronized
Swimming has tremendous benefits for young girls and adults-- from
keeping fit to learning teamwork in an incredibly rewarding
environment. Led by the coaches, the sport promotes the health and
growth of the swimmers through participation in team oriented training
and competition. The swimmers are encouraged to attain their highest
level of achievement, using individual and team potential as a
guideline. One of the most important aspects of synchronized swimming
is the fact that it is a team sport. Each swimmer's success is
dependent on his/her teammates. Together, athletes work hard, enjoy
their successes and learn from their disappointments.
