Fundraising

We now have more exciting opportunities to raise money for the club!

I: Spring Veggies and Flowers Mega-Sales Event!

Click HERE for more information in the flyer.

Spring is just around the corner and Coach Christina and Sue Pettit have a new fundraiser for all the traveling squads. This would be the 11-12, 13-15, & 16+ Squads.
The money from this fundraiser goes directly towards paying for Chaperones (air/hotel) and Car Rentals. All traveling families split these costs, so we are always looking for ways to decrease the cost for each family.

Christina has graciously lent her greenhouse for us to use to grow plants. We will be selling these spring veggies and flowers to family and friends, and at Beaverton/Hillboro farmers markets. Also at the Regional meet! Our goal is to successfully plant and care for these little seedlings, and then sell them in 4" pots at $2 a pot.

May 2 Last UP POT to 4". One more time to place plants in 4" pots to grow and sell in the next month.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU??
Stay tuned for a listing of the dates for the sales.

If you have questions, email sue@pettit.org.

II: FUND RAISING WITHOUT PRESSURE -- FORGET ABOUT SALLY FOSTER

Introducing a different kind of fundraiser -- the Service Exchange

Here's how it works: A family would post a service they need to the club such as childcare. Another club parent or athlete would volunteer for the job for an agreed on price such as $10 hour. After the service had been provided, the paying parents would get credit for the amount of money raised with all money going to the team and the volunteer would get 10 points for each hour worked. For example: if a couple wanted to go out on a Friday evening from 5-10 pm, they would post this to the group, and a volunteer would pick up the job. The couple would pay $50 to the team and receive $50 credit towards their $500 fund raising obligation. The volunteer would get 50 volunteer points. This could be used for any desired service, such as yard work, housekeeping, car-washing, errand running, etc. If either party desired to negotiate and trade their points for dollars, mutually agreeable trades would be allowed. For example, if a family already had enough volunteer points but needed fund raising dollars, or visa versa, they can trade. Any person could use our Service Exchange through a team member, by posting their desired service and the referring team family would get credit for the money raised, and the volunteer gets the points.

One stipulation to using this service: At least 100 volunteer points must be acquired by volunteering at Meets throughout the year. If a family meets its $500 obligation, any further funds raised would go towards their daughter's team's travel expenses.

Four easy steps to make it happen:

1. If you need something done, email your wishes to email@thillssynchroclub.org and fill out the PDF form.

2. Then, someone needing volunteer points volunteers to do it.

3. At the conclusion of the job, email the completed form to Sarah Gaby at sarah@gabey.com

4. Write a check with the memo "Service Exchange" and drop in the T-Hills mail slot, same as tuition fees.

Questions? email Sarah Gaby at sarah@gabey.com
