Welcome to the Tualatin Hills Recreation Program

Goal: To provide an introduction to synchronized swimming for all ages. T-Hills Synchro offers two different formats for those interested in giving synchronized swimming a try, with fall, winter, and spring programs or a season-long program.

Description: Formats are designed to introduce swimmers to the techniques and fun of synchronized swimming. Basic synchro skills and beginning figures are taught along with the fundamentals of teamwork, learning and performing a routine to music, while enjoying being on a team and having fun! Swimmers are introduced to competition at local meets and participate in club water shows and demonstrations for parents.

Skills Required: The ability to swim 25 yards of 2 different strokes (crawl, backstroke, or breaststroke); to attempt a somersault in the water and to touch the bottom of the pool with their fingertips at a 6 foot depth.

Sessions: 2009/2010 Season
Fall Session: September 30 thru December (Time TBD)
Winter Session: TBD
Spring Session: TBD

Full Season : September through June (Tues/Thurs, 5:30-7pm)

Fees: $55/65/75 per month club dues (Depending on age group); USA/Oregon Synchro membership is required: 15-weeks for $31, annual $46; THPRD Aquatic Pass is required (current rates at www.thprd.org)

Uniforms:

  • Athletes receive a cap and nose clip when they first register for the Recreation Program.
  • T-Hills Team suit is purchased at registration; athletes will wear this suit to practices, demonstrations, water shows and any routine competition they enter.
  • For figure competition a one-piece plain black suit is required. White figure caps are provided by the club.
